Koonce I dont plan on that. bandages on my feet would not look good at work when Im the "OSHA Safety Guy" Lol I know a thing of two about OSHA. Manage the sloped division of a large roofing firm. Have my 10, 30 and plenty of equip. Cards. Bout everything but my 120. And after the other classes I would Prob sleep thru the 120, boring old instructors. My OSHA college professor was a dull brag about himself type.

Out of sheer boredom more than anything else I decided to make a duck tote/game strap as an off season project. Here is the first attempt.

Nice work that should do the trick. I got a buddy who makes and sells stuff like that.
This off season my main stuff to get done is to re work some things on the blind, valve job on the motor, rig decoys and re rig the ones I rigged to short and as always work the dog

Wow that looks pretty sweet!!! What would you change on the next one? I had no idea it would take that much cord either!

Thanks Tanner. All in all it's fine, I would make a few small changes in the construction and the size. The drops are all individual pieces fused in place then braided over. They are strong but next time I would just use two pieces, leave one drop then braid over the middle, then have the next drop come out so there would be no possible chance they could pull out. Not that I think they would now, but it would make it nearly impossible for one of them to pull out. If the drop pulled out there is really no way to get it back in once the thing is finished. I would also change the size, this one is just slightly too big around for my liking. Although it may be fine once I put it on over a coat or jacket. I made the drops really long so that when you bring a call to your mouth the whole lanyard doesn't pull up. But because the whole thing is a little too big, the calls hang a little lower than I'd like. I might make another one or two in this style but I think I would like to try a different weave. I have an Avery lanyard like the one pictured below and I think I like the zipper braid on the part that goes around the neck better than the weave on the one I made. All in all though I'm satisfied with it and the people I have shown it to have liked it.

My summer projects consist of painting up the few small boats I have, checking decoy weights and strings and doing some small touch up on decoys.
