IMO i have come up with the best way to texas rig deeks. Not only with the line I use, but by tapping out my molds to allow a better thicker line. IMO 400lb mono sucks the big one. Get more than 2 doz deeks together and you can get a mess fast. Its happened to me. With the super secret cord I use I can hook 6 doz together and never had a tangle to date. I kiped the back wrap idea and its pretty slick, never had to use it but a few time but im glad i had the extra depth. Also with texas rigs you can run deeks outside your blind if you have a hardside. Hell even Toye liked my idea.
I need to ditch some of my texas rigs on my diver spread and get some long lines set up. Ran into some deeper water than I usually hunt and have a ton of deek crowded along the shore was def not the way to go.
Gonna pick some mainlines up from doctari and do my own drops. Hopefully in the next month I can get my boat down to Illowa so they can get workin on it.

I just buy a big spool of the silver weed eatter line at lowe's and lead sinkers at the fishing store. I've used that for year. I take a piece of the line in with me to buy the sinkers to see what fits.
as for ffd full bodies. I passed up a deal in So Il. but im sure he still has it.
search southern illinois craigslist and a guy has several ghg full bodies and half are the ffds. $175 a dz i think

Got some shelving put up in the garage(new place). Picked some big hangers up and put them in the storage room and got my foots hunt from the ceiling.
Took the blind off the boat, and cleaned it. Wow I had a ton of mud, shells, wrapers, you name it. Filled a large garbage back. I bet I had 100lbs of crap in there that I got out.

I was a bit shocked at all the muck that had piled up. It was and inch plus is some areas. mainly where ppl and the dog get in and out of the boat it had built up under the floor. My live well also had darn near 5 gallons of water in it. Never thought to check it during season.

Scored a bunch more lead. Now i need to poor a few more sinkers. Also Got some re-bar pieces gonna make some long line weights. Wire the rebar together and poor some lead over it, makes a nice weight and the rebar holds to any bottom.
