Just curious what the rarest or strangest duck you guys have seen in Wisconsin, just curious to see what random waterfowl have come through our state, any pics would be awesome too!
I have heard of Common Eider in Chequamegon bay on lake superior, my dad saw a cinnamon teal in Cedarburg on Cedar Creek. I have also seen specklebelly geese a few different times flying though in the springtime.

I have seen and shot at Surf Scoters on Shawano Lake I know people who have shot Old Squaws out there as well. Here is a specklebelly that was shot between Bonduel and Pulaski. Not my bird though, its one of my good hunting buddies. Wish I would have had the first crack at this thing!

Wow Thats a great speck! Especially for Wisconsin. The few I have seen shot in Wisconsin were Juvie's and they didn't have any specks on them at all. Great bird!!

I have personally seen one groupe of specks in 2010. This season we had two mature drake Surf scoters land 80 yards from the boat then swim away. Watched them in the telescope for a while. Grandfather shot a drake Cinnamon Teal years back in SSW WI. Fella hunting down the way from us this season shot a brant. Not a rare species by any means but a rare phase of a mallard. I harvested a silver phased drake mallard this year, more on the heavy side of the phase. Bird lacked all color pigment. Looked like a ghost.
