Just got some new avian-x floaters on sale. Avian X on the right. The difference in size of the floaters is pretty substantial with the bigfoot being about 25% bigger. Avian X have a much longer neck and each feather is painted on individually. I am pretty impressed by them. I don't have any Dakota floaters to compare with but they gotta be close. Attachments:

I think they avians do look good. but i like how light and durable the bigfoots are.

I got some of both and posted some comparison photos a couple months back on here . Avians do looks nice but after a few uses they started to where(unlike there mallards which we have beat the snot out of and they have held up great). Also don't like how all the heads are high heads, and the small size does suck. Waxed plenty of geese over the foots again this year and as usual they take the beating of being piled into my rig. As for my opinion on Dakotas, to heavy and the keels to weak for how I treat em. Toss em out the boat onto the ground and watch the keel snap off.
Side not, I'm am kinda excited to see doas new floaters

Never thought about the weight with the Dakotas. I know my Dakota mallards are ridiculously heavy so that makes a lot of sense. Think I will hold off on those. The only downside to the bigfoots that I have found is just the sheer size of them. A dozen bigfoot floaters takes up roughly the same amount of space as 4-5 dozen mallard and ringneck dekes.

I would like to buy some feeder heads off the b2's and glue onto the floaters for a different look

I agree, I prefer the larger size for geese. Ya don't need as many then, better visability
