saw some 300 birds this a.m. but left in the marsh to elsewhere. where? dont know? north to somewhere. must look for this water. hunted in evening but they came back 20 mins after shooting hours.

I am a relative novice at this duck game.....BUT...... I don't think to many birds are going to migrate into a head wind. We need a nor'easter!!!! 30mph SE winds don't cut it!!! stan b

I was shocked that I didn't see any flight birds yesterday riding the north wind. So far this season, I've seen a lot of flight birds on a marginal (ground level) north wind but I didn't see a single flock flying high yesterday. I took the day off hoping for some high flyers but oh well - we still shot our geese but didn't see any ducks.

Large flocks of canvasbacks just hit the shores of Lake Superior boys. This weekend should be great for the northern half of the state.
