Just got a 6 pack of mallard floaters that were part of a rebate from Beretta. They look pretty nice. Good color(but don't they all look pretty when they are brand new?), removable weighted keels etc. Supposed to have some sort of special hard wearing paint, but a lot of mfgs claim that as well. We'll see how they work out. If they are good dekes, fine. If not they didn't cost me anything and they came with a nice slotted carry bag. Anyone else tried these things? www.hardcore-brands.com/At Cabelas

I'm not too keen on them myself and am a bit leery of it. Generally nothing good comes of it.

Hopefully they hold up better for you than the goose deeks I got with a beretta. Had issue right out of the box. On some old ghg deeks I through the deek. Deek went one way keel went the other.

I have 6 sleeper shells from them. Got them as a gift. Putting the heads on is a giant PITA, and the color where the beak hits the back if the shell is already showing a line from spinning the head around. They're light and they look good, but I worry about durability.

Take the keel off and use them for a shell.

I have the floating geese with the removable keel and really like them, haven't had a problem with them and honestly most durable paint that I have dealt with in my opinion.

I had a doz goose floaters a few years back. The thin plastic cracked on a few sides when putting them in bags. Also hates the yellow primer they used to flock the heads as it would show thru when scuffed. Can't say much for the paint as there really wasn't any on the decoy to begin with.
Sold them off after one season. For now I'll stick to my foots

switched owners in early 2012 and since then their decoys have improved greatly

have you run both decoys from the past two owner.
I really do like some of there new decoys but if there anything like the "new owner" geese I got, I will pass. I felt the new Honkers were as bad as the old ones just now they have this warranty on them. I got some fb honkers from the new owner and out of the box there was paint chunks coming off, Didn't even waste my time on the warranty, I just sold them off.

I haven't even used the ones that I got as part of this promo, but I have to say that the paint doesn't seem very durable. I stuck them in the bag when I first got them then came back later to rig them up. It looks like some of the paint is rubbing off just from putting them in and out of the bag. Not a great sign, but I'll reserve final judgement until I've actually had a chance to use them a few times.
