Piled up the Cans over this spread. Shots were further out than we usually take but due to concealment regulations we had to get our boats further back off the hole. Hunted two boats and 5 guys this day. Shot ten cans, a couple bills and a ringer on an afternoon hunt. Good times were had even took my 5 year old out with us. One of the burlap brothers, my boy, and cheech.... I mean wackndstack

took a guy out I met a few years back. Ran a smaller spread of 3 doz ducks and a couple geese. Had a pretty nice shoot over this spread. Once we moved the boat back a little more off the spread the birds started to work better.

The first pic is from my first ever trip to the Mississippi river, about 120 decoys mostly divers, then about 2 dozen puddlers and a dozen geese. the other is of the thing we hate most. A decoy taking on water!!! Thought it was funny so I took a pic and the last is of my last hunt of the season. Half the bay was frozen over, and the spot we hunted I didn't have long enough lines and almost all the decoys floated over and got tangled in the long lines or floated across the lake and I had to get them when we were done. Oh yeah and the guy I hunted with that day as we were walking back to the boat took a header into the water and got soaked! No pic of that though

^^lol wiggins down...
I know that river spot. Hunted er a few times in 2012. Shot a pile of cripples out in that big water one day. Sad there was that many cripples out there, people need to make a better effort to not let them get away.
Is that a dakota floater? how ya like em?
