Well havent hunted them avians yet but here is my initial thoughts. Avains do have nice detail and only time will tell if the paint hold ups. The foots head flocking is lighter but it has also been gunned over vs the brand spankin right out of the box new avian. Avians surprisingly weight more than the foots do. Foots are much larger and have scratching them with the finger nails a few times i think foots will hold up better but as said before only time will tell. I can assure you both will kill geese. Here are some pictures so compare. Top view Back top view Side view

Nice! Thanks for the comparison! How is the plastic on the avian x's? I just pulled out some avian x mallards I got on sale last winter and the plastic is very flimsy and easily dented. Are the goose decoys like that?

^^ that's the point. Its a soft plastic made to be able to get smooshed and then go back to form. Dakota is switching to the same style "soft" plastic on all there decoys or so the rep at the game fair stated.
I don't think it has anything to do with being flimsy, more of a new idea to help the paint. Gives the deeks some give vs being rock solid. It should help prevent cracking if you pile up your deeks or step on them.

I was wondering that, but the newer ones I have the plastic is a lot flimsier than the older ones. I hunted over some last year and they seem a bit more ridged, that's why I was wondering.
Thanks Tanner

To me one the mallards we just got and these geese the plastic feels, thickness wise just fine, it's just A softer plastic, even when doing the finger nail test you can sell its much softer than the foots. The foots are also softer than other floaters I've owned, and have some give to the plastic

those avians do look good tho.
it's just hands down hard to beat a darn bigfoot goose decoy.
I had the avianx fullbody geese (Never will i go down that road again) The floater does look pretty good, how's the price tag I havent checked.
I sold all my ghg floaters and bought bigfoot floaters this season. My ghg's didnt hold up well at all.

For 99 I'd buy foots. If the avians had sleepers I'd prob grab some more but until i hunt them for a season i won't be buying anymore
