Koonce, I seen that you has posted something about some potential dates for the upcoming season. Just wanted to know if those dates were just ideas or if they are really being considered. Wish I could be more involved but that is kinda hard with my job. Also, this would be a great place for anyone else to let their opinion on where you would like the season to be set.

Those were the proposed dates we were allowed to vote on. More than likely it will be one of those dates

As much as I want to agree, I bet we see the same dates as last year.

If those are the potential dates, in my opinion it is great improvement from last year(for the North anyways). I would still like to see things go later but I guess I can't complain if they go with either of those options.

Last day to apply for Horicon Zone goose permits. If you plan on hunting the Horicon for goose and haven't applied yet, better get on it!!

This is what was approved today at the flyway meeting in Stevenspoint What was approved today: Ducks North Sept 21-Nov 19 South Sept 28-Oct 6 Oct 12- Dec 1 River Sept 21-29 Oct 19- Dec 8. Geese North Sept 16-Dec 16 South Sept 16-Oct 6 Oct 12- Dec 21 River Sept 21-29 Oct 19- Jan 9 3 scaup 2 cans 1 hen mallard Cranes going no where. Not even a co sponser for bill. Dove season may go longer next year. Concealment will be taken care of in December. What a shame there's no split in the north. Liberal limits and the season will be closed just as its warming up. Bunch if "brown" ducks will be stomped in the mud because 75% of the hunters can't ID a bird on the wing till they get their color. Oh well just got to make the best of what's given.

yeah that is such an early close to the season for the north! It sucks, every year the best hunting is done during deer season, if we can get the season to last that long!

Well this is truthfully really depressing with such an early season there is a very slim chance I will even be done with harvest by the time season closes. Not to mention the amount of birds I will more than likely see about 2-3 weeks after season closes...
