I got this goose last fall on Thanksgiving day while out with my wife Jess. It has like a grey band going across its head. Has anybody seen this before? I have heard of Hen Redheads getting like grey hairs on them when they get older, and I was wondering if that is what this was. Any help please. Thanks, Tanner Wildes Attachments:

It doesn't look like a mature bird by looking at this picture. The only thing i can think of is that they are gosling feathers that just didn't fall out on its head. If you shoot a yearling you can still see little grey feathers throughout the entire bird. thats my guess

I have seen it a few times, I have been told a bird with a "unibrow" is usually a very old bird. Judging by the one I seen shot like this, the meat was extremely tough upon cleaning so AS OF NOW I would have to agree with it being old age but if someone knows something different I would like to know.
