So how many of yall do a bit of carpin. Save some duck food. darn carp are like wild hogs underwater. I grew up spearing so thats kinda my thing, but got into the bow aspect this season and its been pretty fun. Last night we shot just over 30 in about 2.5 hours. Buggers are getting thick. Last year I saw my first jumpers up here on the pools I run. Uh oh. Heres a few fatties from the shoot before.

bahaha sorry. Hey Tanner can you move this to the General. it was a long day yesterday.
And heck no we aint big river guide service, granted I do see toye often. Kinda of an inside joke. My family has been gunning the ole miss now since the 40s, ive been out there for about 20 years myself. Just this past season I opened my boat to take a few veterans out on some hunts. Long story short, my brother and I have some jokes to tell and the gentlemen we took with starting to call us the burlap brothers. Then came the Burlap brother guide service as we like to deek it up and show ppl a good time. Just some fun duck boat bs, thats all.

As for the boat. It is my buddies rig. Nothing fancy but gets the Job done. Has an elevated front deck with the lights up there. He puts the genny on the poling platform since its a smaller boat. Next time im out with him ill snap a couple pics for ya.
Its a 16' go-devil for the hull.

a got a buddy who does this alot.
In KY its mainly asian carp (jumpers) you dont need a bow, just do circles in the water and they will jump in the darn boat.

Been seeing some spawning action goin on in the back waters. Spawn time is my favorite to to spear. Make picking out those big females pretty easy. Get those eggs in the ditch where they belong.
