I've seen a few mallards and many geese. The rivers going into Lake Michigan and he harbor have opened up so there are lots of birds congregated there. I saw lots mergansers, a red throated loon, some goldeneye, but mostly hundreds and hundreds of bluebills.

The scoopers and ringers have show up in force. The river is pretty much open in most areas that have any current. Lots of flooded timber and back water holding piles of birdies.

I've been seeing all sorts of ducks coming through now. BWT, ringers, hooded mergansers etc. Other than hunting season this is the best time of the year to check out ducks for sure.
