I have used Federal Premium steel for the last couple of seasons, was thinking of jumping up to heavy shot, or Black cloud. Have any of you had experience with these shells? Are they worth the extra $$$? Do you feel like they made a difference?
Thanks for the input!

I also used the Federal ones and was thinking of switching to the black clouds also. I was hunting with a couple of guys in oklahoma in december and one used black cloud and the other guy had the winchester brand. We all killed about the same amount of ducks. I guess its just how well your gun shoots the specific shell. They said they tried the remington shells, I dont know if it was the hevi shot or the the fast steel. They said they didnt like those as much.

I have used Heavy Shot and Federal HD shells before. Longer affective range than steel (what does it matter when you shoot them at your feet) but the stuff hits like lead, defiantly better penetration. Worth the price though? Thats up to you, I like using it in the late season when my shooting is at its best and feathers are as thick can be, especially on December geese.

I like black clouds alot but i dont like the price of them lol they stomp the ducks and geese.
divers I shoot way to many shells some days so i prefer the cheaper shells. if the birds come in right ducks or geese it doesnt matter.
