And clean up the ambigous rules for boat blinds.... The boat blind rules are a lot better than they were a few years ago! I could never get a straight answer on the partial concealment rule. At least now they spell it out. Concealment Hunting from a boat, blind, or similar devices when in compliance with all of the following: some part of the boat, blind, or device is within three feet of naturally occurring emergent vegetation (live or dead?) that is rooted to the bottom; the emergent vegetation provides at least 50% concealment of the hunter, boat, and blind when viewed from at least one direction from a height of three feet above the water; and the emergent vegetation extends above the water’s surface to a height at or above the sides of any boat being used for hunting. Dead stumps and dead trees in the water do not constitute a natural growth of vegetation for the purpose of this rule. Sent from my SCH-R950 using Tapatalk

The boat rules are fine with me. I can work with them. I have nothing against perm. blinds but people need to follow the rules stated to have one. DNR number, phone number, address, name etc. Cannot place on grounds more than 7 days before season and must be taken down 7 days after. There are a few guys around here who build them.... and dont follow these rules.... So i rip them down. And I have spoken with them in the past, we do not like eachother and I am fine with that. Just tired of them and others thinking since they got there fat rear off the couch and made a blind that they own that spot, and most these blinds are garage anyways. My mouth is not filtered when it comes to these type of people, I will drag you blind across the lake like I did that last time. Don't like it, call the dnr.

I see it all the time. I don't understand why the dnr doesn't crack down on the guys that leave binds out year round.

I have wrecked my fair share of blinds. Last year on our way back to the ramp I spotted one. Went and checked it out.... and wouldnt ya know another violator. So we ripped it down.
Also pisses me off when people cut down limbs and rip grass up and make a blind out of it, to me if you leave it up its consider permanent. Whether you bought the wood or cut it down makes no difference. Take your damned blinds down and leave the marsh as you found it! If your using limbs that have already fallen and grass that is dead, you still need to follow the rules.

I never built a blind on public ground but last year we put a couple of signs on a spot we were going to hunt. We took a nice piece of wood, put it on a stake, and wrote all the required info for a blind on it (name, address, DNR number, in 1" letters etc) and put them on our spot 4 or 5 days before opening day.
We knew it didn't mean we would get the spot, it's first come first served on public grounds, but figured it was a good way to let others who may be scouting know that someone was planning on using the spot. That way they'd know they'd have to beat us there, or scout out another place.
Well, someone took the signs and chucked them in the water about 20 yards down from the spot. For no good reason that I could determine. I never ran into anyone on the spot, never had someone sitting there we arrived, and never had anyone come looking to hunt it while we were there.

Ha! I don't doubt it!
It was just weird, couldn't figure out why they did it.
