Well since it not fall an I can't go a hour without thinking about waterfowl its hard not to notice spring migration. In the last couple days Trumpeter Swans have been staging by the thousands between Green Bay and Shawano area. Great time for exilent photo opportunities! The usual number of geese are in the area but the duck are a ways out yet, we need some more open water before they return. Making me evermore dread the countdown to early goose opener!

Seeing tons of divers while walleye fishing Green Bay tributaries. Lots of Buffleheads and Goldeneyes thought they are the most abundant at the moment.

Cool stuff! I find it hard to fish this time of the year when I'm out on the water and seeing a lot of ducks. I have a very short attention span!

Ran out to the Farm tonight to take some feed samples and talk business and in the 4 mile drive I must have see at least 20 wood ducks. Anywhere there was water, there was at least a pair of woodies. Nice to finally see them back!
