Anybody seen any ducklings yet? I saw my first on Thursday night. They were on Pike Lake in Hartford, there was about 8 of them, all very tiny mallards. Curious what everybody else is seeing.

Hopefully with these huge floods we just got in the ole miss valley the ducklings were able to make it to safety. Water conditions in the nesting grounds have turned into heavy current rivers. Huge mud slides, downed trees and old stumps are not a big welcomed site this time of year. I dont mind high water come season.

Well seen some wood ducklings today. Just so happened to be on a bluff side road and no water within a half mile atleast. Was kind of odd.
More rain suppose to hit us on the miss tonight. Some local towns were evacuating as the bluff sides were threating to come down with last nights poor.

My house is good. My yard has a nice taper to it and I no longer live right on the back waters of the miss. Im sure the old place didn't fair as good. No water in the current residence, just been having to mow my lawn every other day.
Crops have gotten there butt kicked on the hill sides and low lying areas. Lots of wash out, others are now covered in sediment. Gonna be a tough one for the local ag guys in many areas around the river.

Was out on be river this weekend. Water is still darn high. Had to laugh at the out of towners all trying to find the Sand bars that were under water or washed out.
