Just wondering what kind of boat you all use for duck hunting. I have both a Gator Trax 3 Man Gator hide with a Modified Mud buddy 35HD, and a Fiberglass 10 foot double pointed skiff. I use the Gator Trax 90% of the time. The skiff is awesome when I need it though.
What do you guys use?

Im currently looking at getting a boat. If I cant find something resonable I was thinking of converting my 17 ft deep v with a 35 horse motor into a duck boat. Any thoughts good idea/bad idea.

Drake, A deep V is ok if you have enough water to keep it up or if you are using it on a lake. You will never get it into low water areas that a mod V or a true flat bottom would. Also the outboard may give you some problems in low water for cooling. I tried it once on horicon and plugged up the water intake, so i had to pull the intake hose off just to keep some water flowing thru the motor. Nothing like having a true mud motor.
