how much gear does it haul We had 2 guys, 2 dogs and towed a sled full of 3 bags of dekes. If I go it alone, I have me (6'3", 225#), Elvis (85#) and 2 or 3 bags of dekes (3 dozen or so), easily! We can navigate in about 8" of water. It is as nice a setup as I have seen! stan b

Them boys Down there make some nice products. Was Down there myself a few weeks ago. I seen your old boat for sale a few times. What motor did ya go with for the new setup Been a while since I was on here. We put a 23HP Dixie on it. So far, so good!

Hows she performing for you? ^ That's a lot of boat for a 23 hp surface drive. If your not getting what you want out of load carrying ya may try to prop down a little bit.

I really need to get on here more often. Koonce, she scoots pretty good with a lightweight 23 SD on her. Full hunting load plus 2 hunters (480lbs)and we get a steady 23 mph in deep water. You gotta remember that the Prowler hull is built to perform with smaller motors.

Which hull length is yours again It's the 1744 Prowler hull. Paul designed it with the small block in mind. He said they had a customer that put a 36 Prodrive on one and it was scary. I'm happy with 23 mph and a full load, which for me is 2 hunters a dog and gear.
